Product Development Engineer
About the Role
Causam Enterprises is developing the foundational technology and intellectual property that will enable the next generation of decentralized energy markets. We are seeking a Product Development Engineer with experience building scalable, cloud-based, data-driven systems who is excited to work at the intersection of energy, software, and financial technology. This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy working a few steps ahead of the market—designing platforms that must operate reliably, securely, and at scale in complex, real-world environments.


What You’ll Do
• Design and develop core product capabilities supporting large-scale, distributed platforms
• Build and integrate service-oriented architectures (SOA) and web services to support modular, interoperable systems.
• Work with distributed data platforms (e.g., Hadoop or similar ecosystems) to process, analyze, and manage high-volume, high-velocity data
• Develop cloud-native solutions leveraging modern cloud computing and virtualized software environments
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and research teams to translate concepts into production-ready systems
• Contribute to system architecture decisions with a focus on scalability, resilience, and performance
• Support the creation and refinement of intellectual property through thoughtful technical design and implementation
• Prototype, test, and iterate on new features and platform capabilities


Technical Experience We Value
• Experience with distributed data systems such as Hadoop or equivalent platforms
• Strong understanding of SOA architecture, APIs, and web services integration
• Experience working with large-scale data platforms, streaming data, or real-time data pipelines
• Hands-on experience with cloud-based computing environments (AWS, Azure, GCP, or similar)
• Familiarity with virtualized and containerized environments (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, or comparable technologies)
• Experience designing systems that must operate reliably across distributed environments
• Experience in energy systems, fintech platforms, or regulated industries is a plus, but not required.
